Sustainability

We make our products in small batches, taking inspiration from our collections and meeting customer demand while avoiding the environmental impact of excessive production. At Vaycaze, we offer our customers exclusive pieces that have a limited stock duration. Once all units are sold, we won't be remaking the same item. Our goal, as we expand, is to become a slow fashion brand, aiming to reduce mass production waste and minimize our carbon footprint. We are committed to using sustainable materials whenever possible in our clothing, steering clear of fabrics with animal products.

Our phone cases are dedicated to sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly materials with a plastic-like appearance. We utilise bioplastics, derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane, offering a green alternative to traditional plastics made from fossil fuels. Additionally, we embrace recycled plastics, sourced from post-consumer or post-industrial materials, reducing the need for new plastic production and lessening the environmental impact associated with plastic waste. By choosing phone cases crafted from bioplastics or recycled plastics, we provide customers with an environmentally conscious option that mirrors the look and feel of traditional plastic cases while contributing to our commitment to eco-friendly practices.

At Shell and Shore, Rachael designs all products herself, whilst working with a manufacturing company based in China. Our commitment is to ensure that all workers are paid living wages or higher, operate in safe conditions, and experience equal opportunities. Regular audits of our factories come with certifications of compliance to uphold these standards. In alignment with our values, we collaborate with manufacturers who allocate a portion of the proceeds from our orders to support environmental causes, women's access to education, and those in need.
